(if he/she becomes your enemy, the reason will be) - She supports my evil friends to tie up my hair with a pink rubber band, and that she said pink rules the world.
10. Winter melon soup, I think, and it's nice :) Going back to revise now.

And from the Dark Depths I shall Return

I know it has been ages since I blog, thanks once again, homework and projects. Oh well, shall not elaborate too much. Right now, I am researching on History as we speak.

Well, since I am a lazy to hell person, I will just briefly summarize a few events that happened which I did not blog about.

-Comic Fiesta 2007, 7July and 14July
-AEP exhibition

Recently I also realize that if I don't pratice hard enough, I will never be able to achieve my dream of being a manga artist, among many other things I found out recently which place me in deep thoughts. I slept for almost the whole of Sunday. Monday I have to go back to school for something else, and Tuesday I was more or less trying something very stupid so yeah, I am updating it today. I will be posting about my 7-days trip to Japan, but I will divide it into many post to prevent too long-winded post.

Day 1
11pm - Taking the flight to Osaka
Since it's the first time I am actually taking an aeroplane, I was kinda excited. The custom check was more or less new to me as well, so I kept asking my friend what to do during the check. We were separated into groups of six, but one of our group member didn't come so we have five. Our group members' are nice, we have a active girl who is interested in the same band, McFly, as my classmate, and a pair of fraternal twins. Our flight was at 1am, so we boarded the plane at around 12.45am. The flight was long, and plan to reach Osaka at around 7 or 8am, so we were actually suppose to sleep because we will be off straight away once we reach there. For unknown reasons I kept awake, fall asleep at 4am only to wake up about 5.30am later. The meals were quite nice, thought a little different from what I was thinking about. We reach Kansai Airport at around 8am+.

Afterwards, we meet up with the tour guide, who is very friendly and kind (: Anyway, we travelled to Kobe by bus, and half of us were sleeping while the poor tour guide kept talking for the sake of the few who were actually awake. Anyway, we reached Kobe after a while, and we visited the Kobe Disaster Centre.

First thing when we went there, we experienced a stimulation of Kobe Earthquake inside a stimulation room, which, to a certain extent, felt real-like. The Kobe Earthquake was one of the most disastrous earthquake that has happened in Japan. Afterwards, we walk around the exhibition, looking at things like the rebuilding efforts, and measurements made to prevent such tragedies from happening again, such as the structures of the buildings. The exhibitions were also very interactive, and the people explaining are also kind and polite.

There were also other visitors like high schools and junior high. And all of the students were wearing those cool looking uniform and has a lot of hairstyles especially the guys. If they ever come to Singapore schools in that kind of hair...it will be cut off in a minute's time. But seriously, it just look cool, for both the guys and the girls. Now I understand why some people want to study in Japan just because of the uniform and the looser restrictions on overall attire. And the Japanese were all kind and polite too. The minute you enter a convenient store, all the shopkeepers will greet you with a smiling face, regardless if you buy anything or not. And subsequently, the rest of the workers will greet you too as you walk around the aisle. They apologise a lot, even if they just accidentally bump into you very lightly, and they are very sincere with their customers. Their attitude to their work is perfect.

Well, we have lunch afterwards. It was a buffet restaurant serving both Japanese and Western food. The food's great, especially the curry :3 I am in love with the curry there. It's not that spicy, and it taste a little sweet. We also had some weird dessert, particularly the one with egg and black sugar if I am not wrong. The rice also taste different, it's stickier than the normal rice we eat here in Singapore.

After lunch we have time to loiter around, and so we did ('we' here refers to me and my classmate). We saw many unusual things, like a sculpture of Mona Lisa made entirely out of buttons except for the eyes, which changes colour. There is also this weird looking tower that moves small/big plastic(not sure) balls around base on wind and the balls' movement, combined with some of the traps inside the see-through tower. There are also three fake 'mushroom trees', one made out of mirror and buttons, another made out of clothe hangers and buttons, and the last one made out of jewelleries and buttons, and the trees are around 5/6 my height. We also saw a gigantic and beautiful sculpture of Artemis made out of some shiny stuff that I am not sure of, based on a picture displayed near the sculpture. It was beautiful and detailed, and I really admire the creators for having so much time and patience.

Anyway, I will end here for now, since I am feeling rather sleepy now. This is only half of Day 1. I will post the second part (after lunch to night) some time later.

As you can see, I change my template. And let me say, I can hardly find anything on him. When we went to the library to do research, there are many books on Raffles and Farquhar, but only one pathetic sentence on John Crawfurd. Our group's definitely gonna die tomorrow...

Nevermind, worst things are coming. Such as our level camp. Since I was unfortunately chosen to be one of the camp leaders, we are suppose to learn the dance. But the dance is...weird. Something that I will never do unless bribed or forced to. Anyway, our ACC teacher gave us an assignment that I am kind of interested in. First, I will show you this, a song written by our local song writter 梁文福:

You can listen to the song by typing the title on the Google search bar. And our task is to rewrite the lyrics that can still fit into the song. We can write on a subject, or maybe the camp, anything actually. And I am going to write on Maths, and how I hate it to the deepest depths of the world >D But actually I like this song, especially the first stanza, which I agree with totally.

Still writing SC omake. I shall finish it sometime far away...I am still struggling with the warrior drawing, since we have to draw on A3 paper, which I have some trouble with. I am going to write my own manga story soon (and draw it into manga 100000000000 years later), but there is still a long way to go...Speaking of which, check back to my blog sometime. I will try to draw Myclax and give me your opinions on it (if I even manage to do it).

Cured

Finally I am fine enough not to cough in between every 10 minutes and stop walking around like a fainting dead corpse. I am feeling much better now then two days ago, although I am still coughing a little. Now I've got more free time after the stupid I & E is over, so hooray. Speaking of which you might be or not wondering about why I stop posting parts of the stupid /lame / idiotic crack fic. Well, I don't really think I have to give an explanation but just in case you want to know, might as well.

Well, I happen to find Crimson on the MSN some time ago and we were chatting with each other (she was using the com to do her research). Sometime during the conversation, she read my blog and and, quoting from Crimson, she "got a funny shock xDDDDDDDDDDd". And she killed me too, by the way, with a knife. After which we discussed for a while (she read the whole version after she requested me to send to her), then I will have to send to her someday to check the grammar, spelling and all that knowing that I am weak in English. So, I won't be spoiling anything more from here onwards. Just wait until June, then we will perhaps be ready.

Also, Crimson suggest that we can do more of these (omakes). According to here, this will be our first one, the Halloween one (which has been laid forgotten under many piles of unidentifiable objects) will be our second, and she will be thinking of the third one when she have time. Hooray for e-learning week.

Let's all die together

Sigh...I am such a failure. We are suppose to do our Bizplan thing today (for I & E), and each of us is assigned a part to do. Due to my laziness and partly because I have to help Xiang Yu type her's and sent to Sarah's e-mail (Xiang Yu's computer was spoilt, so she couldn't access it), I only manage to finish it by 11pm, when I am suppose to give it by 10pm. Moreover, I wrote a damn lot of crap and I didn't complete some parts. Now Sarah have to edit everything and due to my delay, she is also delayed in the editing. Hell, I am really very, very sorry about that, Sarah. If it is individual work I could care less, but it's group work and I am dragging my teammates down with me...I hate myself being so pathetic, useless, irresponsible and lazy.

Anyway, we have our Bazzar today. For the past four months we are suppose to make products and sell it today during the 1 hour bazzar. Our group made weather dolls and hand-decorated notebooks for sale. It was kind of unexpected that we manage to clear all our goods (after a lot of discounts and persuading). So, I was the mascot. And they made me wear some weird coat that, quoting from Bryan, "Hello, Santa Claus". As you can see, it is damn embarrassing, since I have to go and pull costumers who ignored me. Totally. But according to Miao Miao, that part of our strategy work, since I was apparently the only one who wore such...um...'outstanding' coat. Well, there's a lot of competition, and some groups really did some beautiful and creative items. Overall, it was quite enjoyable. We manage to make a profit out of it, which will be donated to the school's needy funds. Except for the mascot part, that is.

My post may be a bit rushed and a bit more emotional these few days, since I am very busy and I have been thinking a lot for the past few days.

Feeling down

Nothing much happened, just the usual things. Anyway, due to the fact that we still have our AEP assignment due next Tuesday, and I don't have acrylic at home, I went to uh...'borrow' some acrylic home to do my work. And while paint is supposed to be put in proper containers, I poured them into food containers which are not used by my mom. So my classmates who accompanied me into Art Room to do their work (also AEP students), they were giving me a weird look while I squeeze the paint out. After which, nothing much happen.

But seriously, my fellow AEP classmates are very pro. They painting is really beautiful and looks realistic. As for mine...um...quoting from Teo Ee, another AEP student whom I ask of her opinion, "From afar it looks like a black patch, but from near it is still a black patch, but you can see the shadings and stuff." she said it in a joking tone, so no offence taken on both sides XD But it is true though...

Well, a bit more on the SC crack fic we made up some day ago...I have reach the conclusion of the story, few more lines and I am done. This is still a very, very lame story of course, judging my mental capacity. I will post another short paragraph here then, just for the sake of thanking anyone who read the above part and entertainment for those who didn't.

SC: Troops of Chaos (continuation):

(At the entrance of the school, a small army holding assorted weapons like swords, spears etc. gathered at the entrance.)

Cross: *staring darkly at the towering school* For many years we have suffered under their rule, piling those tortures known as homework and projects on us daily, with no consideration of our feelings at all…now, we shall taste the blood of our tormentors, and hear their screams of agony and pleas as we bring our sword across their fragile bodies. *maniacal grin* They shall regret their actions, but it shall be too late…*dashed in and start slashing anyone*

Cross’s Troop Commander: *points forward* Follow our leader! We shall pursue her way of blood and avenge ourselves!

Cross’s Troop: Yes sir! *charged in many different directions, killing and slaying anyone and everyone*

CSA(Cross’s Soldier A): Hyaaaaahhhh! *slashing blindly but ended up slashing CSB*

CSD: *slashing blindly too, killing CSA and CSC*

(So, aside from Cross, many were slain, including their tormentors and themselves, as the troop followed Cross’s teaching, “Don’t bother to look, just slash at anything and everything within you range.” Cross was unaware of this situation, covered in blood of her targets and her own soldiers)

Um...expect more of such things in the story. This is, like said, very OOC, so expect more of it to come along. Cross here is more crazy and idiotic as proven, since she is blind enough to kill her own soldier without realising. That's about it for now, I guess.

Let us kill you brains with our insanity

It's been a while since I updated. But, today I bring something interesting. I, Lucciola and Laki was chatting on MSN, and somehow, we came up with a very funny idea. The main characters of the Silent Chaos universe was placed in another universe, with troops of people under them, seeking revenge from schools making their lives hell. There is Lyronse, the one who plans the attack, Rel the offensive magic user, Laki the healing magic user or spy, Lucciola the one who uses dead bodies as puppet and army, Myclax the guns man, Cross the general of blood and insanity, and, last of all, the one who leads the troop, is brave but probably stupid, and stubborn leader-Crimson. (description of leader Crimson is contributed by Lucciola during the chat)

Anyway, here's a list (the position behind the "/" is our secondary position):

Crimson – General in Command / Leader
Cross – General of War / Short-distance Weapon Trainer
Myclax- General of War / Long-distance Weapon Trainer
Laki - General of Magic / Healing Magic Trainer or Spy
Rel – General of Magic / Offense Magic Trainer
Lyronse – General of Strategy / Advisor
Lucciola – General of Strategy / Disposer or Puppeteer

Later, through the conversation, we start discussing and so, a crack fic has been born along with inspiration. After the conversation I went to type out a story base on what we discussed. Well, I am still typing it, but I will post a very small portion of it here. If you hate it, come to me, I am sitting right here holding a knife, waiting for you to use it and kill me to vent your hatred for this idiotic fic.

Warning: most of the characters are major OOC (out-of-character), AU (alternate universe), idiocy, mass killing, grammar/vocab/spelling/word order/punctuation error.

Notes: All characters and story copyrighted to Silent Chaos. The introduction setting is contributed by Lucciola and Laki, with changes made to it (because I can't remember all of it). Also, this fic isn't directed at anyone.

Silent Chaos - The Troops of Chaos (and Craziness)

On a bright sunny day, the schools are having a usual day as per normal. Suddenly, black clouds loomed over the skies, and a threatening figure stood at the entrance, with troops and troops of people behind.

Crimson: *laughs insanely* Bring down the accursed schools, our tormentors! *points to school*

All generals: Roger!

Crimson: BUT DO NOT DESTROY THE CANTEEN, I will do that myself…but I shall eat up everything in there before I do that. Food, here I come! *went in to the school, humming*

All: *major sweat drop*

Lyronse: Okay, except for our insane leader, all of you shall listen to my command, for I am the advisor. Cross, you will charge in from the front. Myclax, lead your troop to the highest point of the school. Laki, stay here and help knowing what will happen later. Rel, go to the back of the school and surround the escaping people. Lucciola, follow Cross’s trail and pick up whatever useful corpses she left behind. NO ONE MUST BE SPARED!

Myclax: *raise hand* What about you?

Lyronse: Me? I shall stay here and watch, for a gentleman must NEVER hurt a lady, not matter what they did.

All: *sweat drop, but follow his order anyway*

...and that's all. I actually typed more than that, but for the sake of not flooding this post with words, I didn't post it. Besides, I might make changes to the rest of the story, so that's it for now. I shall try to finish it, and back to what I say: if you want me to stop writing, just drop me a note, and I will delete everything.

Dying soon

Holiday is ending...argh. I still haven't finish reading "To Kill a Mocking Bird" yet. Hell, I don't think I have even started yet. But, I don't care. Maths already drain my brain of all ability to think and decipher that book (which is hard for someone who come from a Chinese speaking family like me, though there are people who can cope with it well).

Suppose to meet Sally at NLB today to do rice album. But she didn't turn up, and I waited for about 1 hour plus and I was damn worried that she might get knocked over by a car or something, since she wouldn't be that late. Then it turns out that she was sleeping and the alarm clock didn't rang so she didn't come (because she wasn't at home last night). I admit that I am a bit angry but I guess it is okay as long as she didn't get injured or something.

Then went to Art Friend to buy watercolour paper. When I was there I tried out the copic markers. Damn nice. I wish I could buy it, but the price tag tells me that I should save money for six months or something if I want to use a complete one (one cost 5+, and I don't think I can do much with just two or three. Not to mention you will have to get the marker paper as well, which is 20+). I am moved to buy it because I once saw a girl from my school using the copic marker to colour something and she did it damn well. It was damn nice, and she's probably rich if she can afford that many of the copic markers. Meanwell, I am staying with watercolour.

On Friday I probably damaged Miao's ears when I told her about the two story plot I have in my mind. It wasn't Silent Chaos, those two are two plots that have been circling around in my mind but never got the chance to write/draw it out somewhere. I have already start to design characters and the world for one of them, while I did nothing for the other one. After I told her the plots, she noted that my stories usually surrounds the destruction of humans and war. Yesss, I am a war and blood maniac who hates humans...nevermind that. We went to the esplanade to play some game similar to treasure hunt. It was okay, and the 2A people + those who knows our class Bryan was giggling when the announcer pronounce his name as "Breen". Lol.

Well, I am going to try out the watercolour paper now and hopefully it is worth my money.

Back and Alive

Okay, I know it's been ages since I updated. There were two reasons for this: A) Exams, Projects and all ate up most of my time and B) When I try switching to the new account, the google thing decide to hate me and refuse to load, so there. But everything is being fixed, so I will be back to bug everyone again with my boring experiences.

Basically, March holidays are never holidays at all. Sure, we'd get to sleep and stay up late, but lots of homework has been piled on us, so this is more like a break in disguise. Nevermind, shall quit ranting about it, for everyone know how evil it is.

The BONGers met up last Saturday, and that is probably the most achieving time on Silent Chaos, our dying-but-not-yet-and-never-going-to-give-up story, even though like usual we are doing all sorts of crap. But still, compare to the other time when we meet for 6 hours+ and only 1hour spent on it, I'd say it is the most fulfilling one of the meetings. Anyway, we decided a new system for the story writing, and hopefully it will go well.

Then there is the 漫畫快餐 thing that I did not send in the form but was still forcefully dragged there by Crimson and Lucciola. We were at Bradell MRT station and walked through all the 3 exits, only to find that the first one we went was the place where we are suppose to wait for. Anyway, we went there for the interview, and we were force to draw again, after almost dying when we were drawing the comic yesterday. Dammit, and the three of us were complaining to the poor person who brought us to the toilet. But still, it was quite funny, considering the topic we drew the comic about is 乱 and Silent Chaos. And after we finish, we all came to the conclusion that Cross(me) is the most untidy of all. These are the contents of our short comics:

Crimson: 4 koma- The three (Iolante, Laki and Hiina) went into Cross's room and make remarks about how messy it is, along with some of Cross's personality [petty and violent and something else that I forgot]. Cross return with a very messed up hair , slamming the door open and said that she has heard something about her room, and ask if anyone has any comments about her room. The three immediately say no, while inwardly thinking if Cross has just finish fighting or something, for her hair is even messier than the room. The last panel ended with the idea that Cross's room is comparable to a jungle .

Lucciola: (I am not sure for some parts since I only get to glance through it before we hand in, so I maybe wrong about certain parts) Cross woke up, punching her alarm clock in annoyance, apparently in the half awake mood. Iolante is in the bathroom, brushing her teeth while greeting Cross, who did something to her [forgotten, but definitely not something good]. Cross then left the room, and encounter Hiina who said good morning, and in return, Cross dumped something on her [rubbish I think]. Finally, Cross encounter Laki, who said good morning and Cross asked her a question about why everything is so messy and noisy or something like that. Laki sweat dropped and advises Cross to look behind, where two angry figures were waiting for revenge on what she did and the story ends.

Cross: Hiina announced that it is time to clean up the house of messy things, with no one paying attention at all. Everyone protested, and Cross commented that it wasn't messy at all. Hiina then show them the messiness of the house and everyone grudgingly started cleaning. The group visited everyone's room and noted how clean it was, until they arrive at Cross's room only to see that it is even worse then the mess in the living room. When they finally finish, they were all exhausted. Iolante brought up the question of where the rubbish are dumped (they throw everything in a spot and decided to move everything out at once after they finish all the rooms), and Cross replied that since there wasn't anymore space, she just dumped it back into their rooms, while incurred everyone's wrath and they tried killing her.

So that's the story. It's a pity we can't bring the comic back to put it as a side story for silent chaos.

Okay, I shall stop ranting here for now. Shall update again sometime else.

Yeah for Weekends

Well, we have information for the Japan trip. However, it is not only Art Club's trip there, since the trip was merged with the Aesthetics Dept, so all from Year 2 - 5 gets the chance to go. Below are the details:

Date: 26 May - 1 June (7D6N)
Places visiting: Tokyo, Osaka, Shizuoka and Kyoto
Objective: develop and understanding and appreciation of oriental arts and culture with hands-on opportunities
programs: We will be visiting museums and places with relations to art, music and life skills. I don't want to type out all of it so I will just leave it like this.

There is one place that I'd like to mention that we are visiting: Memorial Museum of the Invention of Instant Ramen 0_0... In any case, I believe it is impossible to buy anything, even if it is just sweets because A) We are visiting museums, not tourist attractions, so I believe it is harder to get anything and B) The trip cost $2500. I am using my own savings in the bank and some subsides from my parents to get enough money to go there. Meaning I will become broke after paying for the trip, thus it is highly unlikely for me to be able to afford anything there.

But I guess $2500 is reasonable, since we are staying at a hotel (tourist-class), going there by air (economy class) and all our meals provided for 7D6N, so I guess it is reasonable enough. But I will have to start saving it from zero again :( :( :(

We are still raising funds for the Japan trip anyway, and we are selling the roses, sand bottles and magnets on Wed 14th Feb. We are divided into intervals of 15mins during our respective recesses. Unfortunately, I am in the first batch and the Treasurer, so I got more jobs than the rest. The first batch consist of me, WanYing, Bryan, Karen, Kellie, Yi Ming, Sianler and Nicholas, first 4 being Sec 2s and from my class and the latter the Sec 1s. Our time slot is from 9.15 - 9.30, and being the first batch, we have to get all the things out of Art Room to the foyer. The treasurer (me) have to wait for the treasurer from the next batch (Amanda, Bryan's sister) to come and hand the money over before we can leave.

I still have to get something done in the weekend, so I probably won't be updating in a while.

Nothing to say

Today, the Dunman High students went to watch the play, "The Pickle King", at DBS Arts Centre. Below's a summary from http://www.indianink.co.nz/show-pk.html:

Once the finest hotel in town, the Empire is now as faded as the dreams of the piano player who haunts the lobby. Jojo is a heart surgeon. However, as a recent arrival from India the only work he can find is as a night porter in the Empire. Ammachy runs the Empire with an iron fist and has one big problem; her niece is blind and she will not be married. Sasha knows she must not marry because she is cursed - everything she loves dies.
One night Death checks into the Hotel.
Sublime and ridiculous, simple and profound: Indian Ink bring you a play about love, death and what is worth preserving.

The play itself was rather interesting and funny at the same time. Even near the end of the play there was this funny part: Death want to marry Sasha but she refused and in their struggle she fell off the roof. Later, when Death and Jojo was talking in the lobby of the hotel, Sasha appeared, not dead. When Jojo asked why she didn't die, she said: " The wind blow me back to the hotel." Lol.

I saw a few, or rather, a lot of my classmates there: Yiping, Sarah, Isabell, Chen Wanying, Hui Min, Kimberely, Gui Wanying, Felise, Eileen, Hui Xiang, Doria, Karen, Siting, Sharon, Bryan, Zhou Hong and Alex. I might miss out a few. Anyway, when we were there, Sarah called me 'Hong Hong', so I immediately strangled her (just lightly from the back of her neck) and threaten her not to call me that again in a joking tone (but I mean it). That's because I only allow the BONGers to call me that (to BONGers: now that I have said it, you are welcome to call me Hong Hong, I won't strangle you or something, though if you do that for fun or annoy me, I will>D). But Sarah is really nice and funny, and a bit on the tomboy side :)

I have a bit of free time now, so I am currently learning HTML from the website: http://www.lissaexplains.com/. I have only started for a while, but it does tell you the basics of a website. I am going to try learning it and remake the blog myself instead of using templates.

Got to go, bye.

Down and Up

Finally weekend arrived. I can finally get a break from all those school work.

The lessons went as usual, nothing much. For Art Club, we have to continue doing the things we are going to sell on Friendship Day, except that photo frame painting is included this time. Most of us went to paint the photo frame and end up with all sorts of weird designs. Some are nice, some are weird, like mine. They are also other Art Club people making the roses with Mrs Goh, and some were doing other things. We chose a new Art Club T-shirt today. Since I was washing the brush outside, I did not vote. So I don't know the results as well. Actually our current T-shirt is fine, and rather new, but I guess they want us all to wear the same type, so I guess that's why. Nevermind, that T-shirt can be use for casual clothes as well.

We are ordering a set of new class t-shirt, or rather, class jersey. Each of us choose a number and a nickname to be included on the T-shirt. The number I chose was Zero and for the nickname is Death. Zero because my mind was blank when Bryan asked me to chose a number. Blank = Zero, thus that number. As for the nickname, I always threaten to kill people, thus Death. I would have use Ghost but someone took it already, so there.

I have finally sit down for enough time to draw out the cover page for the short Silent Chaos Doujinshi. That doujin is going to be Lyronse centric, since I don't know what to write for the rest of the characters yet. I will try to draw the rest of the characters, since I can practice my drawing skills more. And it also gives me chance to maybe 'understand' the characters more. But I think I make Lyronse a bit too emo (I almost failed my LA character analysis) And due to that, it will be classified as a doujinshi instead of a side story. Plus, it is only about...11 pages long? Not that sure. Hopefully I will at least be able to finish something before CNY.

Just for fun and randomness, why not we all try drawing a small doujinshi series of Silent Chaos, then compile them, and sell it ^_^? Let's assume that we use the above-creation-from-nowhere as an example:

11 pages x 7 characters = 77 pages

We could throw in another one that revovles around the whole group, and add some drawings and stuff [like trivia, extras etc] to increase the page to at least around 90 pages. Using Chrno Crusade as an example:

$7.90 / 190 pages [including extras] = $0.0415789... = around $0.042 per page

90 pages x $0.042 = $3.78

We could only sell it for around that much...but if we can trick enough people to buy it, we might be able to earn lots of money. But then again, the printing cost and paper and all...we will probably be making a loss XD Thus, like I state, this is just for fun. I am getting crazier nowadays...

Monday has arrived

Well, not much happened today, though my other classmates will probably say that a lot has happened.

We have students from Taiwan coming here for exchange program. It seems that they are having winter break now, thus they chose to come here for the break, and they will be staying for three days. They were about our age, along with a few teachers and the principal. Our principal gave his long speech as usual, and exchanged gifts with the Taiwan principal, and all the Dunman High students were laughing when our principal decide to give the Dunman High 50th Anniversary dolls as an exchange gift.

Our class was also supposed to play host for one of the Taiwan students, too. So during recess some of the girls were quarreling about who he (the Taiwan student) should sit with. Eventually though, he ended up sitting beside the Kimberely (chairperson) since she was the one who went to fetch him. When he came into the class he greeted all of us: "Hello everyone!" or something like that. Since Kimberely is just sitting in front of me, I can hear them talking but I can't be bothered with it. Kimberely is trying to make the Taiwan student feel at home by asking him some questions or talk to him.

Then my bad luck continues. Last Friday I broke a test tube and the cork of the glass bottle, then Ms Wee (my form and LA teacher) wants to see me. Only for the reason to talk to me. She say she wants to talk to everyone in the class. She is a okay teacher, I can survive her, but she is damn bias to Isabell in a bad way. In class she always pinpoint Isabell for everything. When we are copying notes, she always say, "Copy faster, Isabell, are you copying?". When she wants someone to answer her question, the first person will be Isabell. When she lecture us on neatness and tidyness of the class is not only those duty rooster students, but everyone in the class: "This is not Isabell's class. This is our class. We need to..." It's like for everything, she always call Isabell and pinpoint on her. I guess it's too bad for her.

I will stop here. Have to finish my homework.

Ah, I am dead. My ERP assignment is due next week and I haven't even start it. I finished reading the book but I don't know how to start the assignment. We also have geography project which is, in a sense, half way done. Well, since ERP is due next week, not next Monday, I will ask my classmate for help, I guess.

Yesterday I did not update because I came back from shopping at Orchard with my mom, and I was too tired. It was damn crowded that, believe me, you can get stomp to death if a fire happen and people are running around like mad. My mom took me to Takashimaya and look for New Year clothes. There was a great variety of designs there, though, and some of them look pretty nice. Gives me some ideas for designing more characters' costumes =) Then while my mom walk around the mall, I went to Kinokuniya, a book stall (to me, being in a book stall is better than being in a boutique). That place was like a mini library, and I almost got lost. Really.

Kinokuniya specializes in selling imported books, like Japanese, German, French books etc. And while I wonder around I came across Japanese manga imported right from Japan. There were a lot of them, so I can't remember all of it. They also got sell art books and game guides, but it's pointless to buy now since I can't read Japanese. But maybe when I know, I will buy...or not. The things there are expensive (well, they are imported), so 1 Jap manga cost about 10SG. That will be enough for 2 Chinese translated ones. Well, I came across another interesting book in there. It was a costume encyclopedia from many centuries ago to current age, I think. Which is very, very big and heavy, and it cost 361.50SG. It's expensive so it is probably for designers who wants to design more of the 18th, 19th Century clothing. After that we finally went home.

About learning Japanese, I finally discover my brother's ulterior motive for encouraging me to continuing study Jap. When I finally finish learning most of it, I am suppose to be his translator or walking dictionary for his games and anime. He wants to buy Japanese games (more features) but since we don't know how to read, he gave up on that idea, until I study Jap that is. As for the anime part, he wants me to tell him the meaning of the dialodges, since he said the subtitles may be wrong sometime. Plus, he wants to learn a bit of Japanese himself too. So I guess my brother is forever eviler and slier(not sure of spelling) than me -_- Thus the result of me being evil and sly as well. Honestly I think that I inherited my personality traits from him instead of my parents...

I will end here now. Have to eat dinner.

Towards Doom

We have another great pile of homework dump on us for the weekend. Damn it. Now I have no time to finish other things, and I hate Maths. And our maths teacher just gave us a worksheet full of indices questions. Great.

In Art Club today we were making handicrafts to be sold on Valentines day a.k.a Friendship Day in our school. There were three things we can choose to make: A) Small glass bottles filled with coloured sand B) Fridge magnet drawn by members and C) Rose made from fabric. At the beginning, there was a few at A and B, and a lot at C. But at the end of the day, A still have about the same amount, B have a lot of people and C was left with a smaller number. The fabric rose, from what they said, was very hard to make. Guess so. I joined A and it was rather fun to grind the chalk and mix it with the salt. [we use salt and grind the coloured chalk to dye it]

Anyway, I will try to draw as much as possible, I don't want my hand to rust :P And if I don't do it now, I might never have free time again due to the massive amount of homework and the ominous signs of big projects.

I seem to be typing shorter posts nowadays. I will start with the bad news first.

I wasn't short-listed for CAP = RS/FPS this year. Greeaaat. Another year of insanity in FPS. I already had it enough last year, since my brain is a jammed up one. For those who are not sure what it is about: FPS, Future Problem Solving, is about thinking up of solutions for the problems that may happen in the future. We are giving a scenario to work on, brainstorm problems and solutions. For the solution part you have to base it on something currently existing, or proof that it can't be done. A person who is always in day dream land like me can't come up with something logical so yeah. Dead. Now I am in I & E for the first half, so I hope I can survive the next half with FPS.

Now for the good news. The Art Club might be organizing an overseas trip to TOKYO. We had manga arts course this year so in order to pursue a deeper knowledge of it we might get to go to Japan. Yeah! But it is still in the proposal state, so we might or might not get to go. I and another of my friend from art club was saying that if we can't go, we are all going to strike a rebellion =P Hopefully we won't go to that.

All right, ending here. I still go lots of homework to eliminate. See ya all. And Crimson, even though I may have failed to be in CAP, I wish that you can get in.

School is catching up once again

Don't have anything much to say, except that school work are piling up more and more.

When we reach year 3, we are suppose to choose between AEP and 3rd Lang, because the time clashes, but I don't want to give up either. Today I am more free than usual as the major project, Science Digestive System model making is completed. Yeah! But it was still kinda disastrous.

Our group consist of Isabell, Sally, Sarah and me. On Saturday we went to Isabell's mom's restaurant to do our work in one of the VIP rooms. Weird location but nevermind. We made the mouth using a cardboard box, bubble tea straws for gullet, cotton wrapped in newspaper for the stomach and balloons for the small/large intestine. The first three went smoothly but the balloons were a big problem. After we manage to do everything, I took the project home to do the stomach(we only made the mouth, gullet and small/large intestine on that day, and I am suppose to make the stomach). By the time I reach home, the balloons had already burst. Today we used paint instead of balloons as it saves time and trouble so overall I guess it's okay. Hopefully we won't fail.

I was thinking about one making a short manga chapter for Silent Chaos after some influences from my cousins conversation and Crimson's in-the-progress doujinshi. It probably will went like this: Lyronse is trying to find out Cross weakness and decided that by drunking her will make her more vulnerable to find her weakness. To avoid suspicion, he will have to drunk all of us (even though almost all of us are underage). Of course, everyone know that alcoholic influences = randomness. I haven't planned out the whole thing yet so maybe I won't draw it, and it probably won't be that funny, seeing that I have 0% creativity when it comes to comedy. I am only good at thinking up of lame stuffs or so my classmates says.

I guess I am done for today. Will be blogging again soon.

Dying...

I know I haven't update for a long time, and I blame all students' hated enemy- homework. We change to a new campus, and our classroom is on the second floor. I guess I will just update a bit about my new teachers, as all my classmates are the same as the last year.

Ms Wee- LA and form teacher. A strict, neat, crazy old hag who joke with us and is okay overall, but I don't really like her. In one sentence for these two years' form teachers: "Last year we have a naggy old man, this year we have a crazy old hag."

Mrs Tan- Maths teacher. She's really cool and nice, and a good teacher who knows how to teach us all. There was one day when she needs to go to the toilet, but too lazy to walk to the first floor, so she use the second floor's boys toilet instead(and wasn't embarrassed about it to tell us all). Lol.

Ms Ling(History), Ms Ng(Geography), and謝老師(Chinese) is still the same, so I won't say much.

Mrs Forgot-her-name- PE teacher. She is also kinda strict but I guess it will be okay.

Mr Ng- Science/Biology teacher. Also a strict guy but funny at the same time. The complain I have is that he goes really fast with the slides. And then? When he finish the whole lesson, he still have five minutes left. I wrote this complain for my right hand that aches everytime after science.

I guess that's all for the main subject teachers. This year's Jap teacher is last year's trainee teacher that came to teach our class for a while, Ms Ang. She is really strict too, but she is nice enough for me not to dislike her that much. Notice almost all my teachers are strict this year? Yes, I am going to be in for BIG time.

As for my classmates, still the same. I am still the loner who doesn't interact with my classmates a lot. Haha. But I guess it's better this year, since we already know each other for quite a while, even though I never went out with any of them other than for projects. Pathetic, huh? But I'd be too lazy to go anyway ;D Speaking of classmates, congratulations to Wan Ying for achieving special prize in the 7th International-forgot-the-rest Competition!

Now I hardly have any free time, but I still try to practice drawing as much as I could(like during ACC or Malay where I will eventually wander off to daydream land). Here, I have to apologizes to our dear Lyronse of Silent Chaos. We all know that we hate him, and we don't draw him a lot (neither did we for the others but nevermind). So one day, in Malay, I drew him on a piece of scrap paper. And later, I manage to make him look more girly! Sorry about that...not ;p I am planning to draw the others if I got time (and energy) if I could. I might want to change the blogskin but I would prefer to make one myself, using the CSS and the drawings I did myself to avoid all those copyright problems. Beside, it will make my blog more personal :)

I have a lot more to say, but I will save the rest for tomorrow. Nothing really happens except for the part that my classmates wished me happy birthday and some even got me something =) I got birthday cards from Jesslyn (Thanks for the nice card:) Wanying (Thanks for the cute looking handmade card :) and Felise and Hui Xiang (Thanks, and it's okay if you didn't get me a present:). Doria gave me something from Malaysia (It's pretty, thanks Doria :) and Miao Miao gave me a necklace with a well, interesting design (Miao you rocks. You know what sort of weird things I like. Thanks so much :D). And thanks to all those who have wished me happy birthday! Sorry but I can't remember your names, but still thanks a lot =) And so my birthday passed just like any normal day, as half of my classmates either forgotten and is too busy since school's just starting, but nevermind, blame me for being anti-social most of the time XD But I am happy enough already ;P

I am celebrating at home, just a nice simple cake with my family. As I type this I am waiting for my father to come home to celebrate. Wait, he just came back. I will update later.

Edits:

Okay, we just finished the cake, or rather two cakes to be more exact. I finished most of my homework, with the exception of the CAP. But I have not much worry for that, since the dateline is 10th Jan...but I will try to finish as much of it as possible before 3rd Jan. And during the show, I was daydreaming about some weird ideas about horoscopes. And after the whole thing is over, I came up with a semi-length story idea.

Here's a bit about it (sorry if it sounded like strange, I am not good in writing).

Ever since the Great Prophet’s prediction of a great calamity came true ten years ago, people start to believe in fortune telling, horoscope, tarot cards, predictions and all this kind of things. People started to take interest in the 'art of predicting the future' (can't think of anything suitable at the moment), while prophets (they still existed in my story) and professors studying this 'art' are highly regarded among the people. In fact, some people become so obsessed with it that they do everything the fortune-teller tell them, and there are even schools set up and teachers hired to train students for this ‘art’ (there are even degrees for this). Fortune telling is also recognized as a proper job, and people applying for this job are increasing.

Twelve fortune masters of the highest level served under the Great Prophet (who is already dead, by the way). The twelve were disciples of the Great Prophet himself and is also known as the 'Twelve Horoscopes', as the twelve are of different horoscope. The twelve were often summoned to court for predictions and advices for the king.

Amanogawa Inseki is a student studying in The National University of the Art of Prediction (I will think up of a better name someday). She is proclaimed as a genius by most of her teacher. However, strange things begin to happen in the area where she lives. A mysterious circle, which resembles a clock face, appeared in the center of the town. On the circle were, instead of numerals, the sign of the twelve horoscopes with the arrow (there is only one arrow) pointing towards the Pisces sign, and a date 3/15 was inscribed underneath the sign. No one was able to solve the mystery of the circle and it was left alone as a tourist attraction or something.

On the night of 3/15, the Pisces of the Twelve Horoscope was murdered. Even more puzzling was the changes on the circle on the very next day of Pisces’s death. The Pisces sign and the date disappeared from the circle, and the arrow now pointed towards Aries, the date 4/4 written underneath. Again, on the night of 4/4, Aries of the Twelve Horoscope was murdered. The circle has changed yet again on the next day: Aries was gone from the circle, and the arrow now point towards Taurus, 5/4. As the serial murder continues, the truth is slowly unraveled…

That’s basically the whole thing. I tried shortening the whole thing but…sigh. I know there is a lot of plot holes everywhere, but since I will refine it later, since I just thought of it this morning. It’s funny how watching a program on horoscope leads to the idea of a serial murder concerning the horoscopes. Lol. Me and my weird brain.

I shall end it here to spare you the trouble of reading my rants on homework.

Merry Christmas!

Updates yet again

Sigh...long time didn't post already. That's because I am busy off doing stupid things again. No, that's not the reason. The real reason is because I've been trying to kill my holiday homework ASAP. I realized that I shouldn't play too much, and I'd better finish everything first and enjoy my remaining holidays. I have already killed Science and Geography(just found out from my friends), left with Chinese, LA and Maths.

So here's the time table. I am planning work hard for the next few days so that I can finish it, and enjoy the rest of my holidays:

30/11 - Finish newspaper cutting, and at least half of Charlotte's Web
1/12 - Finish Charlotte's Web, and at least 1/4 of Cheng Yu thing.
2/12 - Finish at least 3/4 of Cheng Yu thing
3/12 - Finish Cheng Yu thing, and 'Flowers for Algernon' CAP(2)
4/12 - Finish at least 2 CAP
5/12 - Finish at least 2 CAP
6/12 - Finish at least 2 CAP
7/12 - Finish the last 2 CAP
8/12 - Finish Maths homework
9/12 <-> 12/12 - Revise Sec 1 homework and clean up my room (both requested by my mother)

*Must wake up at 9am, and sleep at 2 am
** Must NOT touch anything related to drawing, e.g pencil, eraser, inking pen etc

I am seriously hoping I can finish all of these. The next year mustn't slack so much already. After I am finished with these holiday homework, I'll start practicing on my drawing =) So I must be determine and not draw for the next few days and finish up my work.

Final updates before heading to Genting

Well, this is going to be the final post until I come back from Genting, which is somewhere around Tuesday. Nothing much to say actually, just a bit of what happens in the past few days.

I went to the second workshop for the manga thing, after drawing a crappy 9 panel comic which isn't even related to the theme. Well, whatever. Anyway, we watch Mr Wee doing a inking demo and he's really great, and he can control the brush and pen so easily -I can't even outline my drawing without drawing shaky lines, which is why I hardly ever outline my drawings using pens. My hand just start shaking for no reason when I draw. Well, I just anyhow outline the stupid comic and handed in. Oh well.

Either case, I am currently packing as I type. Already got most of the stuffs -clothes, toothbrush, cup noodles etc- inside. I am planning to bring some paper along with my sketchbook and my pencil case. And I've also borrow some books from the library and manga from my friends, so I think I'll bring it along as well. I think that's about all.

Guess I'll end here now. Have a nice weekend to all those who are reading this!

Comic

Today was tiring but fun, I suppose. Remember the comic thing I said before? Well, today was the day to go for the workshop. Actually, there are two sessions, on 11/11 (Today) and 15/11 (Wednesday) from 10am-1pm at the National museum of Singapore. Well, considering how late I've been sleeping, waking up at 8am doesn't help very much in concentrating during the workshop. Anyway, back to the workshop thing. There were, if I remember, 29 of us, most from Secondary schools but there is a P6 girl too(and my classmate Siting). Well, we took out seats and proceed on with the lesson. Here is the program schedule:

Thunder Pens!
A comics workshop and exhibition
National museum of Singapore

Program outline and schedule

11th Nov Saturday:
1000 - Start of workshop and Introduction
> "How to do a character design?" by Edmund Wee
> "Caricature" By Miel
>" Innovating characters" by Otto Fong
1030 - Participants work on their own ideas of a 'Singapore hero'
1130 - Break
1145 > "How to start a page of comic?" by Edmund Wee
> "Developing ideas by political cartoonists" by Miel
> "Using Cartoons in Science" by Otto Fong
1215 - Participants work on comic page
1315 - End of session one

15th Nov Wednesday:
1000 - Start of session two
> "Inking Demo" by Edmund Wee
1020 - Participants start inking their penciled comic page
1220 - Break and judging of finished work
1250 - Announcement of selections for prints and display by museum
End of session two

Okay, so basically that's what we are suppose to do for the workshop. Anyway, whether or not you have read the whole thing up there, we are suppose to design and draw a character base on the theme 'Singapore Hero' and draw a page of comic. So here's where I run into trouble. I have the design of the character done, but I couldn't think of how to draw the comic page. Any suggestions?

Well, I got time until Wednesday so maybe I will ask the BONGERS for help on the 13th when we meet. Meanwhile I should try to finish 'Flowers for Algernon'- That's the book we are required to read for LA holiday assignment- before Wednesday, since I borrowed from Siting and I have to return her by Wednesday. Shouldn't be too much of a problem, since the book is quite small and there are only 218 pages- far better than TGE which has 300+ pages and damn tiny words.

Updates

Keep forgetting to post. Oh well.

Anyway, we went back to school on Friday to pack up some stuffs for Art Club, since we are moving to new school campus and all. We carry some green boards outside the art room, and even though they were not very heavy, it's tiring if you have to move like 7 or 8 of them( there were about 5 or 6 Sec 1s) outside the Art Room when they are at the farthest corner. But unfortunately, the place where we chose to place the boards just happen to block the front door of the science lab, so we have to move all of them to the rubbish truck, which is at the parking lot near the foyer. So, we carry all of it there, but this time with the help of a trolley, so it makes things a little easier. However, two seniors took the trolley later when we were 'unloading' the trolley, so we are stuck with a half spoilt one. But later, the two were playing with the trolley (one of them sat on it while the other push her around) and got scolded by a teacher. Well, that's about all we did and the rest were left to the afternoon shift, since most of us in the morning are just Sec 1s with little strength.

Nothing much happen these few days, but today, we went to hunt for our cousin's dog. It went missing in the morning, and after we search for it for about 2 or 3 hours, we gave up. Since the dog is rather small, the possibilities are a) Someone took it or b) It just went missing, and will come back. Our uncle was the happiest of all, since this way, he won't need to bring the dog out for a walk (: That dog was found by my cousin somewhere around the neighborhood, so maybe the real owner might have took it back home already.

Shall end here, too lazy to type some more.

<just>

Halloween

I'm supposed to update yesterday but I was too tired, so I forgot about it :P Anyway, I finally, FINALLY finished colouring that drawing. And it almost killed me and my computer. The previous post with that picture of a chibi sleeping, while holding a lollipop and leaning against that pumpkin is part of the picture, and the chibi's name is Lyronse, who is from Silent Chaos, a story me and my friends are working on<---However, most of the time when we meet up to discuss the story, we usually end up fooling around than actually working on it--->. As a matter of fact, all the characters in the drawings are the characters from Silent Chaos, each of the character being a representation for each of us.

-Below I am going to ramble about the first time I coloured something on the computer (Halloween drawing), so skip if you don't want to listen to my ramblings, which is going to be kind of long :P-

This drawing is actually my way of celebrating Halloween for no reason.

Anyway, since I'm too lazy to outline everything on paper, I scanned in the messy sketch and I got my retribution for being too lazy. All the lines are sketchy and messy. I got no choice but to use the pen tool in Photoshop to outline it.

<lineart>-Lineart-
Okay, this was hell for me. Imagine zooming in 500% and trying to find where the line is suppose to be when they are all unclear dots. I saw a tutorial on the internet teaching how to outline your work so I have not much problem with the pen tool, except that it is tiring to keep pressing 'stroke path' and 'delete path' after every path you drew. However, unable to see the lineart is already a big enough problem for me. Especially when I'm outlining the chains on Cross and Hiina's clothes. It's understandable for the chains, and you will know why I hated Hiina's clothes in the next paragraph.

Out of all the things I did in this picture, I hated Hiina's clothes the most. When I first drew the sketch, it was just an anyhow draw of how a vampire looks like in my opinion. After that, it looks kind of weird so I went to the internet and check for how female vampire costumes look like, ad it was way different from mine. I would have wanted to draw it on paper and scan in first but I don't have the time and scanner(I asked my mom to help me scan it) so I got no choice but to draw it on the computer using the pen tool. That's why I hated her clothes so much, because I have to keep erasing the stroked paths and it wasn't easy, considering that I also erased the nice looking lines along the way. I spend the most time on her. (The one I liked the most is Lyronse's pumpkin group, though his chibi size gave me more problems than any others)

<colouring>-Colouring-
This is even worse than outlining. I have to make a lot of layers just to put in everything nicely, and by a lot I mean 5 layer sets for each individual character (4 for Hiina, 3 for Lyronse and 1 for Text and Background) and in each layer set contains about 2-4 layers. They took up a lot of space and my computer started lagging. Not to mention I have no idea where to add the shading and clueless to how to do the background(that's why you end up with that strange looking bg and a impossibly cloudless night with a weird moon). Basically I stayed up until 2-3am during the past few days just to finish it on time.

<background>-Background-
This was the easiest out of the 3. All I did was draw a weird looking moon, colour the whole thing using only 2 colours, and draw the tombstones using the pen then I'm done. Because I couldn't think up of any good bgs so I just did a half-hearted one. If tombstones are arranged in that way, no one will be able to walk through it, much less pay respect to the deceased -.- And that night was one of the impossibly, clear night with no clouds at all -_-

-End of Rambling, going to sleep now-

Testing

Testing something, ignore this post.

</>

ZZZ...

Kay, I'll just keep this a short post cause I wanna sleep already...and I have that Halloween picture to work on.

I just scan in the drawing and working on it as I type this. I will try to finish it before Tuesday.

Then, tomorrow we are meeting again(see Silent Chaos blog for details). We got back our results and I passed all my subjects despite failing at EOY Maths. Well, Jesslyn helped me a lot during the second semester, so I guess I have to thank her for it. My position is 16th in class, or at least that's what I remembered. Either case, now that holidays have started, it means sleeping and drawing :P But we still have homework to do, Chinese and Language Arts. Too bad, I guess, I will try to finish the homework in the first few weeks of the holidays.

Then today, during recess I went to queue up to buy the books for the next year. The queue at the bookshop was DAMN long. I waited for about 20 minutes and then they told me that the books were SOLD OUT. Damn it, wasted 20 minutes of my recess for nothing.

I also finish the Halloween picture already. Just need to get it into the computer and I can start refining it (cause all of the lines are sketchy and messy). Anyway I'm going to sleep now, it's 2am already...

Vivo City and Death Note

We, the anim3-craz3 or BONGERs, went to vivo city and watch Death Note. I met Crimson, Luciola and Laki at the MRT station then we all took MRT to Vivo City(and Crimson, I reach the MRT station first).

Vivo city was really big and we went to search for a place to have lunch, but there were too many people so we end up with almost nothing, except Laki who bought ten breads and ate it along the way. We kept wandering around the first floor, following our baka leader Crimson around. There were a lot of interesting things in Vivo city, like a man in yellow riding some strange thing around and another man carrying a dispenser around to promote their products.

At around 12.55pm, we went to the cinema and I look after their bags while they go and buy some food to eat. I didn't get any cause I was too lazy :P Crimson bought Nachos, Laki bought popcorn and drinks(which she share with Luciola) and Luciola also bought popcorn. They did offer me to share with me but I stick to my principle that 'I won't eat anything that I didn't pay for' lol. Weird principle, isn't it?

Anyway, Death Note was pretty nice. The actors were okay, and the shinigami Ryuk was funny(when Raito and Ryuk went to the supermarket, Raito said that he won't get to eat any apples and Ryuk was like "!?") The story was alter a lot, but I guess that can't be helped. And too bad it stop Right at the part where Raito and L was about to begin their fight. Guess we just have to wait for part II to come out. After the movie, Crimson have already fall totally in love with L, and she was ranting on about it on the MRT (which both Laki and Luciola tried to block their ears from the rants). Though I agree with her that L was funny, him and his never ending supply of candies :D He sat in a weird position and has a rather unique personality and again, the candies. For Raito, I don't really like him except that he own the death note. If I were him I will kill everyone in this world before attempting suicide. Yeah, seriously.

Anyway we went to Laki's house after the movie and we are suppose to start on Silent Chaos, but ended up looking at Cosplayers instead. I borrowed Luciola's drawings (more like I force her to, actually) and tried to observe the differences between mine and hers. While I was doing that, the other three were all looking for pictures of cosplayers, and burst into fits of laughter every now and then. Okay, that was an understatement. More like they are going to faint of laughter, and Laki's famous evil witch laughter (that's how I call it) has once again resurfaced.

Well, we did made some progress. At least we have half the idea of how Lyronse looks like. Now all there is left is to convince Luciola to let her character Ayaka to fall in love with Lyronse (originally suggested by Crimson, and the vote was three against one). Lyronse was supposed to be a handsome guy who looks decent but is actually not. I think I will try to alter his outfit someday...

I have also finish typing the summary, Recelia and Verloren's profile from my own story "Trickster" It was a real idiotic story so I wouldn't go too much into it. It was suppose to be a practice manga anyway. And reminds me that I still have some work to catch onto. Oh well, sleep comes before drawing. I shall go get my sleep now... Final thing to say, I hope that the teachers won't spot check tomorrow cause my hair's too long.

Procrastinating!!! XP

I am procrastinating yet again--->seriously, I will never get rid of this habit<--- for laziness and my brain exploding. So, today we got back our EOY papers. Here are all the papers we recieved today:

E-O-Y Exam (End-of-yourself exam)
Language Arts: 52/100 (Even though it's borderline, but I at least passed)
Maths: 40.5 / 90 (Expected, since I left almost all of Section A blank)
Geography: 58/70 (Surprisingly, I thought I'd fail)
Science: 63.5/100 (Same as Geograohy)
Higher Chinese: 85/110 (Guess that's the highest mark among all my subject)

Sigh, I'm really depressed over Maths, but I guess I can only blame myself for not studying hard enough. But, according to our techers, even if we failed, adding our CA1 and 2 marks should help us to pass, whihc i s a relief =) Anyway, my mom took me out to eat Japanese food tonight! She knew I was depressed so she took me out for dinner, and she didn't even scold me for failing EOY Maths. She's the nicest mom in the world :D

Another great thing happened was that Luciola's friends set up a kexin bashing website. Go for it! I strongly support all the people who have wants to bash kexin up for good, and also many appreciation for setting up the web to gather everyone who hates her in common. It's payback time, for what you did to us, you are going to get it now. That's what I'd call retributions.

So, I am, like I said, procrastinating again. Here's the list of things I need to draw:

-Orchestra, Poster
It was really hard to do it since the paper was too big for my desk at home and school, but I will perserve, since I am not going to let all my efforts and pains of planning this goes to a waste. (But let's wait until I clear up my desk, which is messy beyond description.)

-Orchestra 2, Group Shot
This is the one I am working on now as I type this. It's smaller and easier to do so I was hoping to finish it before Friday. (Though it's kind of impossible now.)

-Kimberly, Heather, Hui Min, Sarah and Jesslyn's drawings
The first three requested me to draw for them, while I did the latter two voluntarily. Basically, their request are all quite simple, but SLEEP comes before DRAWING. Even though I am crazy about drawing, I am too tired these few days to do any drawing. (And coincidently, all of them holds a post in the class commitee: Kim-Science Rep/Heather-Vice-Chair/Hui Min-Chairperson/Sarah-Treasurer/Jesslyn-Scretary)

-Simin and Dee's Birthday drawings
I am not sure if I am doing for them, cause I am very tired out, and I don't even have time to think of what to draw for them. Neverthless, I shall try. (I canday-dream about what to draw while I'm bathing)

-Halloween, Silent Chaos
Since I have already given up on the manga--->it's damn idiotic and I don't even have the time to draw all of it before Halloween comes<---, I will work on a picture instead. It will be quite simple, so I should have the time to do it. (Provided that I didn't fall asleep half-way while drawing it like the other time I did for the first page of the manga)

Kay, so that's basically the workload I'm suffering from. I hope that I will at least able to finish points 2 and 3 by this Saturday, since I have almost everything ready. I am NOT looking forward to do point 1 but I will still do it. Point 4 should be the one I will be doing happily, since it's for the fellow BONGERS. Point 5...I will try to get it into the computer somehow and sent to every BONGERS as a tribute to Halloween :D

---From the above paragraph, I conclude that I am bias to the Anime-Craze people.---

1) I was more or less force to do it for the Anzions, while I am happy to do it for the BONGERS.
2) I am only sending the Halloween drawing to BONGERS, no Anzions

---...there's no purpose for that paragraph, just ramblings---

Talking about point 3 reminds me of something very funny. During inter-class basketball, our class went to cheer. All of us were suppose to go there to cheer, but since I was engrossed in finishing the final draft of OD (Orchestra Drawing) on the unused vangard sheet, I ended up bringing the vangard sheet to the field and draw while kneeling on the ground :P I really am crazy over drawing, huh? lol.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://shadows-of-memories.blogspot.com/2006/10/procrastinating-xp.html' title='Procrastinating!!! We didn't really do anything actually, just using Dreamweaver to do our assignment. Hardly anyone finished so we will hand it up some other time. During the 1 hour lunch break, I and Sarah followed Yi Ping and Eileen to KFC cause we don't know where to go for lunch (or more like we don't know the area around the school so we follow them)

Tuesday, which is today, made me realized that MOELC Jap department are either A) Really lame B) Can't think of anything or C) Going crazy. Today, we were having our post exam activities, and we were all force to sing Doraemon's theme song, or something like that (But I didn't bother to even open my mouth).

Then, I and Simin SMS each other, before 3rd lang class started and after I got home. Now I really hate myself cause I dropped my phone halfway when SMSing her, and tad-da, the screen went blank. I press a few buttons, and the screen is on again. But for some reason, it will blank out suddenly, and I have to re-type the message again, and the screen was like all fuzzy. I have to stop half-way with the conversation and wait until my brother helps me fix it-sad thing-. So I won't be able to use it for a while. Hopefully it will be fix by tomorrow.

Anyway, I, Simin, Huiling and Delia might be watching Death Note this Saturday, so I'm looking forward to seeing them again-and hopefully not killed by Simin for the Escape theme park thing. Death Note is rather interesting, but is similar to Spiral, except that Spiral isn't as...dark? Dunno how to describe their differences XP

Inline Skating

So far, today and yesterday was the best days I have ever had in this week. We had our sport enrichment activities for both days, and mine was inline skating. There were six activities we can choose form: golf, bowling, football, hip-hop, self-defense and inline skating. So, in the morning when all of us were half asleep, we gathered at the basket ball court. The teacher took our attendance and then sent us to another side of the basketball court to get our skates and safety gears, before going to the side of the field and put it on. The helmet kinda smells, but the elbow, knee and wrist guards were okay. We all put on our skates and tried standing up, but I and Rochelle were the only one who were able to stand and walk around without staggering/ about to fall. We later found out that both of us are, apparently, the only ones who had tried skating before in our group of 1A people who joined inline skating. So, I and her skipped the basics and went to join the other group who have already know how to skate.

They teach us quite a few things: a reminder of the basics, scissor position, heel stop, and left/right scootering. It was really fun, except that the court was a little too small for 80+ students to skate all at once. The instructors were funny too, and they did a lot of cool tricks. Two instructors were scootering very fast and skid to a stop at the end of the court, cool! All of them were friendly and funny, even though some were a little too strict. So while we were on the other side of the court, the rest of our friends were learning how to skate, and from as far as I remember, some of them fell down a lot-Hope they are not too seriously injured. Then Kimberly and Sarah skate around while holding hands like a couple :P Though they have to break apart 'cause Sharon was in front of them. There was also this very pro girl who was skating very fast and elegant. Wish I could skate as well as her.

So, all in all, it was fun, and if I got the time/money/gears needed, I want to go learn how to skate quickly without almost bashing into the volley ball net.

Today and yesterday very xian, wish I've fake sick and stay at home.

Yesterday after the principle's long speech, we went back to the classroom, waiting for our next activity that the school plan for us. Turns out to be a two hour balloon sculpture workshop, which is, in my opinion, very boring. For the first half-an-hour, we sat in the hall while listening to the person talking about how to twist the balloon. After that, we were all given two balloons, one is a round smiley face and another long purple one. Then, we were told to make balloon sculptures, then the chairperson/vice chairperon will pick the best one out from the class to represent their respective class and compete for a informal competition for the best balloon. For the two hours there, I spent most of it sketching on a piece of foolscape for the OD, since I wasn't pratically interested in the workshop. Well, I did try twisting the balloon, but it burst and I am save from the trouble of making one :D Our class didn't win but I don't really care, but I am rather amaze what some of the other classes' ballooons, and our chairwoman's gift of speech.

The next half of the day (from 11am to 1pm) was spent on maths activity day. I seriously want to bash the teachers up for this. We just had the traumatizing maths exam a few days ago and they want us to do maths again? HELL NO. So, I group with three of my classmate and go around playing the maths games. Well, I didn't. All I did was to carry my drawing stuffs with me and draw while they play the games. lol. In the end it wasn't too bad, except that the whole class got angry when our maths teacher just leave us in the classroom and say that we can only go at 1.30pm, while all the other class were released. After a while, everyone just left a message on the whiteboard(but our teacher probably didn't read it) and left.

Today was also the same. For today, we have a two hours gift wraping workshop, conducted by the same people yesterday. So, my comments are also the same. Kind of boring. But today I didn't just bring one peice of foolscape, I brought my whole file along, and again, planning ouit for OD. And, I did wrap the present, but I just anyhow wrap it, didn't even bother to use the double side tape (half of the reason is because the boys used it up). But a little improvement from yesterday was that we got free crackers :)

Second half of the day was spent sitting in the auditorium and learning chinese riddles. It was okay, but again, knowing me, I brought my drawing stuff along and plan for OD again. I didn't really care what was going on, just keep drawing for no reason (Okay, maybe to direct my attention somewhere so I wouldn't sleep in the nice air-conditioned room). Anyway, after the chinese riddle, we were still trap in the auditorium tolisten to the CCA awarding system, or LEAPS. That was the real boring one actually, but who cares. Overall, it wasn't too bad for today. I am looking forward to tomorrow, cause that's the beginning of inline skating, the sports enrichment activity I chose.

As for the OD, I manage to half draw out all their position. However, I just realise I got a big problem ahead. The peice of vanguard sheet I bought wasn't really big enough, or rather, it's big enough, but I will have to omit a lot of details. Another problem was, like I mention in the previous post, the super difficult to draw instruments. I hate the bassoon and alto saxophone the most (actually, I hate all of them, but I wanted to do it, so I deserve it) 'cause I can't find a real good reference for it. But the easiest to draw was the violin, viola and double bass 'cause they are pratically the same except for their size :D I drew the paino guy on a seperate piece of paper today, and I am planning to do it for the rest of the miserably band which consist of only ten people.

Here's how the grouping will be, since I don't want to waste ten piece of paper drawing enlarge versions of the members.

1. Piano and harp
2. Violin, viola and Double bass
3. Bassoon, french horn and alto saxophone
4. Piccolo and flute

Like hell I will actually be able to what I wrote above...plus I have the Halloween picture to catch up too...though I will stick to OD for now.

Updates

Mid-autumn festival's here, wishing everyone a Happy Mid-autumn Festival.

Yesterday, our little cousins hang up five paper lanterns near the window for mid-autumn festival...Of course, open window and lit-up paper lanterns doesn't go well together. We were all having dinner when the wind blows and the paper lanterns caught fire and end up in ashes later. While it's dangerous, I admit it's kind of funny to see our grandmother trying to put out the fire by beating the burning lantern with newspaper. It wasn't really a big one, so it's really nothing. But that incident kind of remind me of another funnier one.

It was about 5 or 6 years ago, during mid-autumn festival. All of us, my brother, my 3(or 4?) cousins and I, were playing with paper lanterns and candles(for the candles part we just light them up and stick them on the ground, or burning dead leaves). After we had enough fun, somehow we came up with the idea to burn all the lanterns.

So, we pile up all the lanterns, throw in some dead leaves, and add in a few burning candles. Well, it emit out lots of smoke and we keep throwing all sorts of things in. Twigs, dead leaves, the box we use to hold candles, plastic etc. After the pile finish burning, all that's left was a pile of ash and burnt paper, and a black charcoal mark on the spot. Afterwards we clean up the ashes an burnt paper, not to mention a scolding from the adults on the dangers of fire.

In any case, it was fun burning things up.

Oh, and I have half given up on the Halloween comics. I really am in no mood to try and draw it, but I will still try to, no guarantees though. So don't really think I will finish it, but I will leave the ideas until next year's Halloween... Which means I will probably be working on a drawing of Halloween this time instead of the comics. However, if anyone is interested in drawing the comic, I can lent you my stupid and idiotic ideas for it. Not a must though, since all of you are probably quite busy these few days.

As for OD, it's disaster. Now I realized that the instruments are really difficult to draw...But I won't give up on this one, since there isn't any specific dateline(for the Halloween comic, my dateline will be by the end of next week, cause I need time to try out something...).

To end this post, I wish all of you, Crimson, Luciola and Laki best luck for your exams and I pray that all of you will pass with flying colours(unlike me who will definitely fail).

Talk of the siblings

Yesterday...I had a talk with my brother, and found out that we are really similar. It actually all started out with a simple thing of asking him to help me to spot mistakes and where I can improve on my pirate drawing. Well, after he gave me some points, tips and some other information(even though he said I shouldn't really depend on him, cause he is no expert on this, but that I should instead try to learn myself), we somehow manage to get onto the topic of our similarities. For one, he said that we are both the same ype of people, those who are like the 'odd' ones among a group of other people. It's like our thinking of certain things and our way of doing things are 'weird'. It's hard to explain this...but I feel that we are like the grey in a world of black and white, neither here nor there. Also, my brother and I are the lazy type, I mean, so lazy that we can't even bother to talk<---This sentence is said by my brother--->

We talked alot on this, about the way we feel about some other things, about how our thinking function, and how it seem that hardly anybody actually accept what we say. This is also another thing said by my brother, who is confused about our(me and him) E.Q:

"I really don't undersand this...that whether our E.Q is high or low. Perharps it is because we choose to stand at the neutral side, so we can see things from another perspective, thus we can understand other people more then others do, so that makes our E.Q higher. But, we can't seem to socialise well with other people, and prefer to stay in small groups, so that makes our E.Q low. I really don't understand, or maybe it's just that there is another path. In Maths, it's like a two-dimension way, where there is only increase or decrease. But it may be more of a three-dimensional way, where that path can bend into other directions, instead of only increase or decrease."

That was what he said when we were talking about E.Q and he said many other things, but it will take forever to type it, and since we were both speaking in chinese, it's hard to translate everything into English.(I apologise for any offence you find in any of the above paragraphs)

It really made me think alot, after we finish talking. It start to make me wonder and think a lot more, alot of things which I previously don't really understand or even think about. But, I suppose it's good to have a brother like him: He said that if we try to talk to out parents about this, they will probably think that we are crazy. Now I realised, that I was rather glad to have a brother like him. Usually it's true that I don't really like him cause he bullies me alot(though not much harm is done), but I know I can depend on him if I need help.

I probably won't say this anymore, or anywhere else, but,

I am glad to have a brother like him.

Japanese Summer Fetival!

It's been a while since I update, so this is going to be extremly long. Today, a lot has happen, but I am too tired, so I will just post the first event and I will post the other one latter.

The first thing was the Summer Festival! It's so fun and exciting. Wish that Dee can come too. Anyway, I got lost when I was at Bishan cause I forgot where to gather, so I call Dee, and then end up calling the sensei and realised that I am actually walking round and round in circles:P Stupid me. Anyway, we took the bus and went to a Japanese Primary School in Clementi and it was exciting. When we arrive and got off the bus, there were so many Japanese and Singaporeans there, and most of them were wearing kimono or yukata. They look so kawaii in it! Especially the young children, look so cute:3 The school itself also look rather similar in our normal school, there was a swimming pool though. Anyway, we got the coupons(12 each)from our teachers and off we went. We can get the chance to wear kimono by using 4 coupons but there were too many people and you have to return them very soon so I didn't go for it.

There were many things to do there, and 3/4 of the people there was speaking Japanese, fluent and understandable. There were also lots of stores. There are stalls selling takoyaki, bento, rice cake, sushi etc. Firstly I went to try scooping a goldfish, which cost 3 coupons. They gave me a net and another small bowl, then after 10 minutes, I got one by chance and it is now swimming in my mom's goldfish tank:3 One boy was rather brave or stupid depending on how you see it, as he had the small bowl high above the plastic pool(you know, the type where the babies used to play in) and he just took the scoop, scoop up one goldfish, lift in to the air and attempting to put it in the bowl, though the scoop broke before that. Then I try fishing for a water yo-yo with these weird looking thing that has a hook at one end and you hold it by a strip of power twisted. No matter how much I try I couldn't get it, wasting 6 coupons. After that, I got a sausage with two coupons and look around for other things to do. There was also somebody drawing potriats there(in manga style) and I got one too. And I really admire the person who drew it; It was only 5 minutes and he was done, not to mention he was using chinese brush and wrote your name in Japanese.

During the whole festival, there were also performances going on, such as the opening fanfare(they were beating drums and all on the stage) and YOSAKI Soran Dance, where the young children were dancing. I also took some pictures of a few Japanese wearing kimono and I will post it up later when I find the cable. And I also realise something: Apparently no matter where I go, people have to call me cute at least once. After I took the photo of one of the Japanese wearing kimono, I bowed, smiled and said arigato before leaving. After walking a few steps I turn around for no reason, and the two said to their friend "kawaii desu ne?" and was pointing at me, whom they didn't realise I was looking at them. Well, I don't really like other people calling me cute cause it made me feel like I am a 5 or 6 year old kid, but that's not really important. Either way, it was really fun and when we got back on the bus everyone have something with them, and our senseis are great, s they had few small bags of goldwish and even more water ballons^^

Too tired to do anything else, so like I said I will post the latter event tomorrow. Today's Jap CA4 was okay, not as hard as I expected, though i made quite a lot of stupid mistake. I'm so stupid >< Then, My partner ate sweets during lesson time. Lucky Akashi sensei didn't catch her.

Anyway, that pirate drawing was, well, more like a bunch of bandits than a bunch of pirates. One of my friend even commented that some of them look like beggers:D Lol, but I do admit that some of them REALLY look like beggers XD Anyway, my friend a.k.a chopsticks Jeslyn offer to help me scan my drawing so that I can print it out and keep it as a souvenier. So nice of her:3 Some of my friends saw my drawing and also ask me photocopy for them. I said jokingly that I will charge them one, and they really say they will pay, $2 a piece. Looks like I can start making money $$$ Lol.

Johny Depp Fangirl!

Today we have a lot of teacher on M.C, so we have a lot of free periods^^ Yay^^ I use most of the free periods to do my drawing of the pirates, which turns 3 out of the 5 look more like bandits than pirates. I have mangae to finish the first one, but still have 4 more to go. When one of my classmate, who is a very *BIG* fan of Johnny Depp(Captain Jack Sparrow in PoC)heard that I was drawing pirates for the Friday Weekly Contest, she came to me looking very enthusiastic and happy, and ask me if I can draw Johnny Depp. I answer her that maybe, but I don't have any refrence to look at. Then, immediately she open her wallet and gave me a picture of Johnny Depp. Talk about being the who's the biggest fan of Johnny Depp in 1A:D(no sarcasm intended) Shit, tomorrow is Jap CA4 and I haven't study much yet. Got to go and see you all soon:D

Project Animal Farm

Today was tiring. I rushed through my homework before going to Sarah's house to do the project. Anyway, when I reached there I got lost cause Sarah forget to tell me her unit number, so I called her only to find that she have to go rescue one of my other teammate who alighted at the wrong bustop and got lost:P I waited outside the lift for 30 minutes when everyone is finally there and we all went to her house.

For the project, which is called "Project Animal Farm", we are supposingly trying to lead the students of Dunamn High to rebel against the school, and we have to make people support us. Of course, the discussion was ended up with lots of weird ideas. In the end, we had a flag, vision and mission, what we want for the new school and some jokes. I also borrowed some comics from Sarah, she got a lot of comics^^ She got 'DeathNote', 'Prince of Tennis', 'Nana', 'Bleach' and much more. I borrowed from her the first three volumes of 'D.Gray-Man', which is confusing but interesting. Well, I should stop now. I just remembered a few minutes ago that I have history homework and is currently doing it. See you all soon.

First time posting

Today was rather peaceful and stress-free. Slept until 11pm, got up, and then sleep again until 1pm. Anyway, congrats to Luciola, whose dawing is in the Friday Weekly!:3

I don't feel like doing homework, so I start thinking of what to draw for the Friday Weekly. I was thinking of something like a group shot or maybe just one person standing there. Did some research on the net and found a few books around, but in the end it still comes out looking like a bandit:P Tomorrow I have to go to Sarah's, my classmate a.k.a treasurer of 1A, to continue our "Project Animal Farm" for Literature. I somehow can see that disaster is waiting for us...

Testing

Testing if the blog works or not, ignore this.
